Dear Client

Thank you for your interest in CheckWriter check drafting software. Check Acceptance is a great way to increase your sales.

CheckWriter is a stand alone payment system which will allow you to take checks from your customers directly from your web-site, by fax, or over the phone.

CheckWriter works on Windows 95, Windows 98, or ME and utilizes your laser or ink-jet printer to create a draft of the customer's check, which you can deposit into any U.S. Bank the same day.

There are no monthly fees or discount rates associated with owing this software, and the first 100 blank checks and a generic internet web form are included.

COST: $99.99 plus shipping $10

CheckWriter will arrive about 3 days after ordering, and overnight shipping is available at an additional charge of $19.99.

Please feel free to contact me with your questions.  (phone number)

Sincerely,
Sales Associate

The CheckWriter Demo is a useful tool:

Product knowledge test:

  1. What is the difference between the routing and account number? The routing number on a check is used to rout the check to the proper bank location. This number is typically 9 digits. The account number is independent for each banks customer. This is typically 10 digits.
  2. Where is my manual? The manual is located on the CheckWriter cd. Simply place the CD in the drive, then select the my computer icon, and choose the drive that corresponds to your cd drive. Click on the CheckWriter disk. Next click manuals. There are several different formats for the manual, choose the one that is right for you, like word 97 format.
  3. What is a non standard check draft? The 'non standard' format applies when either the routing number or the account number is not the specified length, or when the "D" symbol is used in the middle of the account number.
  4. What are the user defined fields for? You may determine the purpose of the user defined fields. These fields are searchable and may be used for billing or other purposes.
  5. How do I print a report? In the toolbar at the top, select file, then print, then check listing.
  6. Why does CheckWriter print letters at the bottom? If CheckWriter prints letters at the bottom of the draft rather than the MICR symbols, it is because the end user must activate their font. The procedure for font activation is documented at: http://www.yourfavorite.com/support/font.htm
  7. Does CheckWriter guarantee that a check draft is good? CheckWriter does not verify the validity of account information, nor does it guarantee funds from your customers check. CheckWriter allows you to print a draft of your customers check using your pc.
  8. How many checks are printed per page? One, on the top 1/3 portion.
  9. Can you reset my CheckWriter password? NO. The CheckWriter password feature is VERY secure. Please carefully note your password information before selecting to use this option. We are not able to crack or reset the CheckWriter password.
  10. What is the CheckWriter Guarantee? When properly printed ( no letters in place of MICR) CheckWriter drafts are guaranteed to be accepted at all us banks. CheckWriter has a 30 day money back guarantee, simply call for return authorization.
  11. Can I accept international checks? What about Canada? CheckWriter was designed for the American banking system. Canadian customers have successfully used CheckWriter for years, however we do not guarantee CW for use in Canada.
  12. What is MICR? MICR is the font that the banking symbols are printed in.
  13. What about the signature? Printing an authorized draft does not require a signature. CheckWriter substitutes the "actual" signature for a facsimile or other authorized legal text that is accepted by the bank.
