| Adjusting Margins:
On almost every printer available,
CheckWriter will automatically align your MICR.
To see if your check or draft is
properly aligned, first check to see where the dotted line at
the bottom of the check falls.
This dotted line should print DIRECTLY
on the perforation so that when you remove the check or draft
from the top 1/3 of the form, the dotted line should disappear.
If this is not the case, you can adjust
the printing height in your cw.ini file located in your
CheckWriter folder:
C:\Program
Files\CheckWriter
It will look like
this:
Right Click on this file and select
OPEN, your computer may prompt and ask what to use, select
NOTEPAD.
Once open it will look like this:

To lower the dotted line, increase the
setting on the top margin. Try 125 or 150 to lower the check
about 1/4". Or if you need to raise the line, change the
top margin to 85, or 90.
Experiment using one sacrificial piece
of check stock, or use copy paper and a pencil to trace through
where the perforation should be.

Transit symbol alignment:
Once you have your dotted line on the
perforation, you should check the left/right settings by
locating the watermark on your blank check stock. The
transit watermark is very small and very light:

It looks like a "+"
This is where your first transit symbol |:
should print. Adjust your "MarginLeft"
setting in your cw.ini file to ensure your transit symbol covers
this watermark.
